Summary of Responsibilities

  • Analyse WASH needs and trends and contribute to programme outcomes, strategies and plans
  • Administer technical programme transactions, documentation and approval processes
  • Monitor programme implementation, resources, compliance, risks and delivery results
  • Conduct field visits and provide technical support to government, NGOs and United Nations partners
  • Prepare humanitarian, management, donor and sector progress reports
  • Support emergency supply readiness, agreements, response and early recovery
  • Build partnerships, advocacy materials and resource-mobilisation briefs for WASH
  • Develop knowledge products, action research and learning opportunities for staff and stakeholders

Role Requirements

  • First-level university degree in public health, social science, sanitary engineering, environmental science, civil engineering, behaviour-change communication or a related field
  • At least two years of relevant WASH, programme-monitoring, emergency-response or field experience
  • Programme-management, monitoring and evaluation, partnership, public-health, sanitary-engineering and behaviour-change capability
  • Fluency in English
  • Ethiopian nationality

Desired Criteria

  • Emergency-response and field-operations experience
  • Partner-coordination and capacity-building experience
  • Country-level experience in fragile or humanitarian settings
