Overview

Coordinates evidence-based advocacy to strengthen maternal and newborn health policy, regulation and financing in Ethiopia. The analyst develops advocacy plans, builds coalitions, uses cost-effectiveness and political-economy evidence, influences national investment, and supports midwifery care and essential commodity access.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement country advocacy plans for midwifery and health commodities
  • Track measurable financing and policy goals
  • Build coalitions with government, parliamentarians and midwifery associations
  • Use economic and political analysis to shape advocacy messages
  • Promote digital midwifery training and national health-policy integration
  • Advocate for sustainable financing and essential-medicines access

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in public health, social science, public policy, international relations, development, communications or a related field
  • Two years of relevant advocacy experience
  • Experience coordinating evidence-based advocacy campaigns
  • Strong drafting, organizational and programme-support skills
  • Microsoft Office and digital collaboration proficiency
  • Fluency in English and Amharic
  • Ethiopian nationality
