WASH Officer – Contracts Administration

Six-month UNICEF national officer appointment supporting planning, design, procurement, contracting and monitoring of WASH rehabilitation works in Venezuela, linking programme, supply, operations, government counterparts and contractors for timely delivery.

• Support planning and design of water, sanitation and hygiene infrastructure projects
• Prepare and review technical specifications, bills of quantities, cost estimates and drawings
• Coordinate procurement, contracting and implementation stages with programme and operations teams
• Maintain project trackers for timelines, budgets, quality and contractual milestones
• Monitor rehabilitation works and resolve delivery or compliance issues
• Link government counterparts, service providers, contractors and UNICEF teams
• Prepare technical reports and support emergency WASH recovery activities

• Bachelor's degree in civil, hydraulic, sanitary, environmental or water-resources engineering, or another relevant technical field
• At least two years of professional experience in WASH programmes in developing countries
• Experience planning, implementing and monitoring WASH infrastructure against timelines, budgets and quality standards
• Ability to review technical specifications, bills of quantities, cost estimates and drawings
• Fluency in English and Spanish
