Job Description
Delivers UNRWA technical and vocational education and training in trade-theory mechanics across the Homs and Lattakia areas. The instructor develops competency-based curricula, delivers inclusive workplace learning, assesses practical and theoretical skills, uses labour-market insight to improve courses, and embeds quality assurance, safety, digital learning and green skills throughout training.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop competency-based curricula, programme profiles, learning guides and manuals for trade-theory mechanics
- Prepare training venues and deliver inclusive learning in classrooms, laboratories, workshops and workplaces
- Design and conduct formative, summative, knowledge-based and practice-based assessments
- Build employer, worker and instructor networks and use labour-market information to improve training courses
- Apply quality-assurance processes in line with the UNRWA TVET Quality Assurance Framework
- Design and implement green and digital learning programmes and synchronous and asynchronous training
- Coordinate teaching and co-curricular activity while implementing occupational health and safety measures
Role Requirements
- Four-year university degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Mechanical Power specialisation
- No experience is required
- English and Arabic at UN Level III
- Residence in Syria within commuting distance of the duty station and authorisation to work there at application
Desired Criteria
- Registered Palestine refugee status is preferred
- Candidates of the underrepresented gender are preferred

Additional Information
- Daily Paid Assignment for up to three months, subject to funds, performance and continuing need
- One day of annual leave and one day of sick leave for each completed month of service
