Job Description
Conducts research and prepares a strategic UNIDO publication on its value proposition to the European Union and Member States in Europe and Central Asia. The consultant maps cooperation, funding and policy opportunities, drafts and finalises the evidence-based narrative, incorporates stakeholder feedback, and prepares a design brief and manuscript for external dissemination and partnership development.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Review UNIDO strategic materials and European Union policy frameworks and develop a research framework
- Research UNIDO-European Union cooperation, funding trends, project results and prospective partnership areas
- Draft a strategic paper on UNIDO’s value proposition for the European Union and Member States
- Incorporate feedback and ensure factual accuracy, consistency and alignment with UNIDO editorial standards
- Prepare a design brief, manuscript structure, infographics and visual-content proposals
- Coordinate with UNIDO units, funding-partner relations and the Brussels Liaison Office
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in Economics, International Relations, Political Science, European Studies, Public Policy or a related field, or a first-level degree or advanced technical college diploma with seven additional years of directly relevant experience
- At least seven years of professional experience in research, policy analysis or international development cooperation
- Knowledge of European Union institutions, policies and funding instruments
- Experience drafting analytical papers, policy documents or publications for high-level or external audiences
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Desired Criteria
- Experience in the United Nations system or other international organisations
- Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder research or publication processes
- Knowledge of another UN language
