Staff Health Officer

Serve as the health focal point for ICRC personnel in Damazin. The officer promotes physical and mental health, assesses living and medical conditions, manages referrals and evacuations, monitors health risks and data, implements staff-health policy and supports colleagues after critical incidents.

Department: Staff Health

• Brief newly arrived personnel on staff health
• Assess living conditions and promote hygiene and preventive health
• Evaluate medical providers and maintain referral options
• Advise personnel with health concerns and coordinate medical evacuations
• Implement staff-health, HIV and psychosocial-support policies
• Collect health, accident and absenteeism data
• Review medical invoices and advise sub-delegation management
• Monitor outbreaks and support colleagues following critical incidents

• Medical doctor or registered nurse qualification
• Three years of clinical experience
• Mental-health and stress-management experience
• Medical evacuation and transportation experience
• Written and spoken English and the local language
• Current permanent residence in Damazin
