Strengthens UNICEF’s global WASH emergency work by helping country offices and partners apply risk communication, community engagement and accountability approaches to cholera and waterborne-disease response. The role turns social and behavioral evidence into practical guidance, strengthens preparedness and capacity, and builds partnerships that protect vulnerable communities and children.

• Provide technical support on RCCE and accountability to affected populations
• Strengthen prevention and response to cholera and waterborne-disease outbreaks
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and capacity building for country offices and partners
• Translate global guidance into practical country-level solutions
• Support emergency preparedness, monitoring, reporting and learning
• Build partnerships around sustainable WASH and public-health outcomes

• Master or equivalent in public health, social and behavioral sciences, communication, epidemiology or a related field
• At least five years of progressively responsible emergency SBC or RCCE programming experience focused on WASH
• Fluency in English

• Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is desirable
• Experience designing feedback mechanisms and using behavioral data in emergencies is highly desirable
• Country-level experience in development, fragile settings or humanitarian contexts is desirable
