Delivers temporary maternity-leave cover for the IPU’s digital communications and social-media work. The consultant plans and produces multilingual online content, manages and optimises social platforms, analyses performance and web traffic, supports events and leadership messaging, and develops guidance and training that strengthen the organisation’s digital visibility and engagement.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the digital and social-media components of the IPU Communications Strategy
- Plan, create, commission and edit written, infographic, video and audio content
- Manage social-media platforms and communities, including event coverage
- Monitor web traffic and social-media analytics to improve strategy and workplans
- Coordinate messaging and engagement with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide social-media guidelines, training and coaching for IPU stakeholders
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Journalism, Marketing or a communications-related discipline
- At least five years of relevant digital-communications experience as a journalist or online content producer
- Track record producing engaging written and video content
- Fluent English and excellent French written and oral communication skills
Desired Criteria
- Strong knowledge of international relations and politics
