Senior Project Associate (Case Management)

Leads case management for IOM’s voluntary return and reintegration programme in Costa Rica, coordinating implementation, budgets, protection standards, partner engagement and team supervision while strengthening procedures, reporting and support for migrants and other vulnerable groups.

Department: GAVR Programme

• Lead and coordinate implementation of return and reintegration case-management activities
• Monitor implementation challenges and recommend adjustments to modalities and workplans
• Analyse developments, legislation and evidence on returns and reintegration
• Monitor project budgets, fund availability and revisions for the managed caseload
• Coordinate administrative and technical case-management work under IOM and donor requirements
• Deliver capacity-building workshops and liaise with authorities, partners, donors and humanitarian organisations
• Prepare reports, procedures and concept papers and supervise and train case-management staff

• Bachelor’s degree in political or social sciences, international relations, development studies, migration studies, human rights, law or a related field with five years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with seven years
• Experience liaising with government authorities, international institutions, UN agencies and non-governmental organisations
• Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced people, trafficking survivors or other vulnerable groups
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish
• Valid residence and work permit for Costa Rica

• Special short-term G-7 appointment with gross salary of CRC 1,857,384
