Senior Community-Based Protection Assistant

Supports community-based protection in China by consulting refugees and asylum seekers, analysing protection risks and capacities, strengthening community representation, monitoring programmes and helping partners deliver inclusive services for children, survivors and other people at heightened risk.

• Integrate participatory and community-based approaches into protection strategy
• Maintain community and partner networks to identify protection risks, needs and capacities
• Support community-owned responses covering child protection, psychosocial support, livelihoods and gender-based violence
• Conduct participatory assessments and consultations with people of concern
• Help communities establish representative and coordination structures
• Collect age, gender and diversity data for programme and budget monitoring
• Prioritise counselling and field visits against agreed protection criteria
• Monitor partner compliance with protection policies and professional standards

• High school diploma with at least two years of relevant experience, or bachelor degree or higher with at least one year of relevant experience
• Chinese and English at B2 level or above
