Leads FAO's private-sector partnership strategy, building stronger engagement, monitoring and support mechanisms across headquarters, regional and country operations. Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of FAO's private-sector strategy at global, regional and national levels
- Identify strategic collaboration with non-state actors to advance the FAO Strategic Framework
- Develop annual private-sector workplans aligned with organisational programmes
- Support headquarters and decentralised offices on partnership methods and relations with non-state actors
- Advise FAO entities and governing bodies on multi-stakeholder partnership policy discussions
- Oversee country-specific partnership materials, tools and processes
- Lead monitoring and evaluation of FAO private-sector partnerships and annual reporting
- Review partnership workflows and IT platforms, including the FAO CONNECT portal, to improve engagement and reporting
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in rural development, political science, international cooperation, development, business, economics or a related field
- Ten years of relevant experience in international cooperation or business, donor programmes, government institutions, UN agencies, private-sector functions, civil society, negotiations or advocacy
- Working knowledge of English at level C and intermediate knowledge of another FAO official language at level B
