Provides senior partnerships advice to Cities Alliance, strengthening engagement with United States partners, particularly the World Bank. The adviser identifies funding opportunities, shapes concept notes and programme advice, represents Cities Alliance at meetings and panels, and supports the Director's strategic engagement across urban-development networks.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge of Cities Alliance strategy and work through regular meetings and staff engagement
- Engage regularly with the World Bank, Habitat for Humanity International and UNOPS Washington
- Identify organisations and individuals for new Cities Alliance relationships
- Expand Cities Alliance profile and influence with existing and prospective partners
- Explore World Bank funding architecture and programme opportunities
- Advise staff on concept notes for World Bank project partnerships
- Identify funding and project opportunities and alert management
- Represent Cities Alliance leadership at relevant United States-based meetings, panels and events
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies, Economics, Political Science, Public Administration, Business Administration or related fields with twelve years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in those fields with ten years
- At least ten years of professional experience in sustainable and inclusive urban development
- Experience with multilateral development institutions or international financial institutions
- Experience in senior representation, stakeholder or donor management and urban-development expertise
- Fluent English
Desired Criteria
- Thorough knowledge of World Bank operations
- Intermediate French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese or Russian
