Provides senior technical and operational support to Ethiopia’s National Election Board after the 2026 General Elections, strengthening electoral systems, re-election readiness, procurement and logistics frameworks, institutional knowledge and long-term operational planning.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead verification of results from remaining and re-elections
- Document operational successes, risks and lessons from the 2026 General Elections
- Develop rapid-deployment plans and election materials for re-elections and special events
- Revise electoral software and strengthen institutional procedures with the NEBE ICT team
- Review election procurement and update technical specifications for electoral materials
- Design training plans, manuals and targeted operational training for NEBE staff
- Improve polling-station planning, operational dashboards and tracking systems
- Coordinate operational stakeholders through progress reviews and planning meetings
Role Requirements
- Master’s degree in project management, social science or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience with a master’s degree or 7 years with a bachelor’s degree in project or logistics management, particularly election management
- Electoral logistics and procurement
- Ballot design and printing oversight
- Stakeholder coordination in complex political environments
- Fluency in English and Amharic
Desired Criteria
- Familiarity with Ethiopia’s electoral framework and socio-political context
- International electoral experience or experience supporting electoral work with UNDP or a similar organisation
- Experience advising an electoral management body
- Working knowledge of additional local languages
