Supports Ethiopia’s National Election Board to strengthen election logistics after the 2026 elections, leading operational reviews, re-election readiness, procurement, warehousing, distribution, institutional capacity development and long-term logistics planning.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead post-election logistics reviews and document operational lessons
- Plan and coordinate logistics for remaining and re-elections
- Strengthen warehouse management, asset reconciliation and logistics workflows
- Develop transportation, distribution and contingency arrangements for election materials
- Build staff capacity through training plans, manuals and targeted operational training
- Improve logistics information systems, dashboards, reporting and monitoring
- Coordinate with government institutions, suppliers, service providers and development partners
- Contribute to medium-term election logistics strategy, risk management and resource mobilisation
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in project management, operations, logistics, supply chain management, social science or a related field
- First-level university degree in the listed fields plus two additional years of qualifying experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in project or logistics management, especially election management
- Fluency in English and Amharic
Desired Criteria
- Familiarity with the Ethiopian electoral framework and socio-political context
- Prior experience working on elections in Ethiopia
- International electoral experience or experience with UNDP or a similar organisation working on electoral support
- Previous role advising an electoral management body
