Procurement Associate

Administers transparent procurement for a UNDP environmental recovery project in Ukraine, supporting competitive tenders, contracts, suppliers and asset disposal. The volunteer maintains compliant systems and records so goods, services and consultants are acquired efficiently and deliver value.

• Maintain compliant procurement strategies, controls, plans, systems and tracking tools
• Run requests for quotations, invitations to bid and proposal processes for goods, services and consultants
• Prepare committee submissions, terms of reference, specifications, statements of work and evaluation criteria
• Coordinate tender committees and maintain evaluation records and reports
• Manage contracts, purchase orders, supplier follow-up and procurement risks
• Process tenders and purchase orders in Quantum and UNall and correct budget-check errors
• Coordinate asset review, disposal approvals, records and inventory accuracy
• Maintain procurement files and provide timely supplies and logistical support to project operations

• At least three years of relevant national or international experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics or a related area
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and office software packages
• Knowledge of automated procurement systems
• Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages and experience with web-based management systems
• Required Ukrainian and English

• Full-time national UN Volunteer assignment with possible extension subject to funding, operational need and satisfactory performance
• Monthly Volunteer Living Allowance of USD 1,717 equivalent in UAH, including hardship differential
• Entry lump sum of USD 350 and exit lump sum of USD 120 for each month served
• UNV medical and life insurance and annual, learning and sick-leave entitlements
• Volunteer is responsible for arranging accommodation
