Job Description
Leads staff-welfare and psychosocial-support activities for IOM's Regional and Country Offices, prioritising emergency locations. The counsellor provides confidential individual and group interventions, advises leadership on healthy work practices, delivers prevention programmes and training, coordinates critical-incident support and referrals, develops provider networks, and monitors staff well-being while maintaining confidentiality.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide psychosocial support to managers and staff in regional and country offices
- Deliver confidential individual and group assessments, short-term interventions and referrals
- Advise leadership on healthy work practices, resilience and staff-support strategies
- Develop and deliver staff workshops, webinars and psychoeducational programmes
- Coordinate critical-incident stress-management support and follow-up interventions
- Develop a network of external mental-health providers
- Maintain monitoring and reporting mechanisms on staff well-being while preserving confidentiality
- Undertake duty travel to country offices under the regional wellbeing workplan
Role Requirements
- Master's degree in clinical psychology, counselling, psychiatry or a related field with five years of relevant experience, or university degree with seven years
- Active licence, certification or professional-organisation membership relevant to the degree
- At least five years of relevant counselling experience after licensure, certification or registration
- Experience with counselling and psychosocial interventions
- Experience working with UN agencies, international humanitarian organisations or employee-assistance programmes
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in French

- Familiarity with the impact of humanitarian working conditions on staff well-being
- Previous experience in the region
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Readiness to travel and work in emergency contexts
- Working knowledge of another official UN language
