Project Manager - Infrastructure

The manager will lead UNDP infrastructure projects in East Jerusalem, coordinating workplans, budgets, procurement and contractors while monitoring field delivery, quality, safeguards and risks, building partner and donor relationships, supervising personnel and reporting results.

Department: Programme of Assistance to the Palestinian People

• Manage daily project implementation, personnel, workplans, milestones and financial resources
• Procure goods and services and prepare terms of reference and technical specifications
• Maintain project risks and ensure compliance with UNDP controls and procedures
• Conduct site monitoring and verify technical, safety, environmental and social requirements
• Guide contractors and ensure corrective action on quality or compliance gaps
• Manage agreements and relationships with partners, ministries, communities and donors
• Prepare project, corporate and donor reports using results and expenditure evidence
• Supervise project support personnel and capture lessons and good practices

• Advanced university degree in project management, public management, business administration, engineering, architecture, urban planning, construction management or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree plus two additional years of qualifying experience
• Bachelor’s-degree route requires at least two years of experience managing engineering or infrastructure projects
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic
• Valid membership in a local or international engineering association

• Role supervises approximately three NPSA project-support personnel
