Job Description

Supports Counter Trafficking and Labour Mobility programmes in Jakarta through clerical, coordination and communications work. The assistant organises project activities, prepares meeting and training materials, compiles information for reporting, helps develop visibility products and monitoring tools, and works with project teams and external counterparts to advance safe and fair labour migration initiatives.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Provide clerical and coordination support for CT/LMSI project activities
  • Organise meetings, trainings, workshops and community-engagement initiatives
  • Take notes and translate project and communication materials between Indonesian and English
  • Coordinate administrative requests, clearances and follow-up with internal and external parties
  • Compile and present project information for reporting and communications
  • Develop presentations, visibility products, statistical tables, briefs and newsletters
  • Update project monitoring and evaluation tools
  • Maintain records and respond to general information requests

Role Requirements

  • School diploma with three years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field with one year of relevant experience
  • Indonesian national with knowledge and understanding of migration, trafficking in persons and labour mobility issues
  • Fluency in English and Indonesian, oral and written

Desired Criteria

  • Experience liaising with government authorities, national or international institutions, UN agencies and non-governmental organisations
  • Ability to operate design software such as Photoshop or Canva
