Overview

Supports OHCHR programme planning, administration, budgeting and delivery in Uzbekistan. The assistant monitors projects and expenditures, coordinates operational actions, maintains case and programme databases, organizes events and travel, prepares multilingual reports and responds to individual human-rights enquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning and implementation of OHCHR Uzbekistan activities and programmes
  • Research and summarize programme information and record meeting decisions
  • Monitor proposals, workplans, budgets, expenditures and project outputs
  • Process recruitment, travel, procurement, payments and other administrative actions
  • Maintain programme files, contact lists and the individual-cases database
  • Prepare programme summaries, correspondence, statistics and periodic reports
  • Organize workshops, roundtables, field visits and participant travel
  • Guide junior staff and coordinate follow-up with programme and administration units

Requirements

  • High-school diploma or equivalent
  • At least seven years of programme or project administration, technical cooperation or related experience, reduced to five years with a first-level university degree
  • English and Russian at the required United Nations proficiency levels
