Provides programme, administrative and budget support to the Sustainable Development Unit, coordinating meetings and workflows, preparing research and communications, processing operational requests and maintaining records that help the Executive Office deliver cross-cutting initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate meetings, events and activities for the Deputy Director and Sustainable Development Unit
  • Track correspondence, reports, deadlines and approval workflows
  • Support planning and implementation of unit activities and project initiatives
  • Research, analyse and present information and data on sustainable development
  • Assist with budget proposals, estimates, classifications and programme submissions
  • Draft background materials, briefings, speeches, correspondence and periodic reports
  • Process administrative, travel, procurement and expense requests
  • Maintain files, databases, distribution lists and document-tracking records

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in programme administration, general office administration or a related field
  • English at United Nations Level II in reading, writing, listening and speaking
  • Eligibility for local recruitment in the United States or within commuting distance of the duty station
