Overview
Coordinates UN Women programmes and partner delivery across western Afghanistan, with particular focus on multi-purpose women’s centres. The role strengthens planning, monitoring, donor reporting, capacity development and partnerships so women and girls can access sustained humanitarian and resilience support.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate establishment and operation of multi-purpose women’s centres
- Prepare workplans, progress reports and donor reporting packages
- Monitor partner delivery, financial compliance, risks and programme results
- Assess partner capacity and coordinate development support
- Guide civil society partners and support programme implementation
- Build partnerships with authorities, donors and humanitarian actors
- Represent the Herat Sub-Office in coordination and technical forums
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social sciences, human rights, gender or women’s studies, international development or a related field, or a first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
- At least two years of progressively responsible experience in programme or project implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting and capacity building
- Fluency in English

- Full-time in-person consultancy based in Herat with provincial travel
- Working hours are Sunday to Thursday, 08:00–16:00 Kabul time
