Women's Economic Empowerment Specialist

Supports UN Women’s economic empowerment portfolio in Indonesia by coordinating climate-resilient livelihood, care economy and BERANI initiatives. The consultancy strengthens partnerships, partner delivery, monitoring, knowledge products and evidence for adaptive programme management.

Department: Women's Economic Empowerment Unit

• Develop and manage partnerships for the women’s economic empowerment portfolio with government, donors and the private sector
• Coordinate EmPower activities with local partners, women’s groups and community organisations across target provinces
• Support capacity building for women entrepreneurs, women leaders and youth groups
• Monitor implementing-partner workplans, budgets, milestones, bottlenecks and risks
• Review training materials, knowledge products, communications and technical deliverables for quality
• Support climate-resilient livelihoods, entrepreneurship, financial inclusion and market-linkage initiatives
• Coordinate BERANI economic-empowerment activities, training and stakeholder engagement
• Compile programme data, reports, donor updates, lessons and knowledge products

• Master’s degree in development studies, business administration, public policy, economics, gender studies, social sciences or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
• At least two years of relevant experience with a master’s degree, or four years with a bachelor’s degree, in programme development, project management, planning or programme implementation
• Experience planning and managing activities and preparing terms of reference, concept notes, presentations and briefs for partner engagement
• Fluency in English and Indonesian

• Home-based consultancy requiring residence in the Greater Jakarta area for in-person workshops and events
• Assignment outputs cover a 12-month workplan and monthly reports
• Field visits may be required to monitor implementation and provide technical support
