Overview

Conducts a national assessment of the links between gender inequality, climate change and conflict in the Central African Republic, producing evidence, recommendations and practical programme concepts to strengthen policy, resilience, peacebuilding and women’s leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Review national gender, climate, peace and security strategies and evidence
  • Design the integrated assessment methodology and data-collection tools
  • Consult institutions, civil society and technical partners and analyse collected data
  • Produce the integrated assessment, recommendations and catalytic programme concept
  • Present findings, integrate stakeholder feedback and prepare advocacy and training guidance

Requirements

  • Master 2 or equivalent in Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences or a related field
  • At least five years of development programming or policy experience related to climate change
  • Seven years of experience conducting studies, designing and managing research and producing mission reports
  • Experience with quantitative, qualitative and longitudinal analysis methods
  • Experience analysing conflict through gender, youth and human-rights perspectives
  • Excellent command of French
