Responsibilities

  • Guide OSCE departments and field operations on systematic gender mainstreaming
  • Advise senior management on gender dimensions of economic and environmental security
  • Prepare briefings, proposals and annual progress-report inputs
  • Draft talking points, statements and speeches for senior gender advisers
  • Review project design and implementation against OSCE gender commitments
  • Coordinate with the Office of the Co-ordinator of Economic and Environmental Activities
  • Represent the Gender Issues Programme in meetings and conferences

Requirements

  • Second-level degree in gender studies, international relations, political science, economics, environmental science or a related field, or first-level degree with two additional years of experience
  • At least five years of relevant experience, or seven years with a first-level degree
  • Experience in gender, human-rights, economic or environmental issues
  • Programme-management experience in bilateral or multilateral development organisations, including field operations
  • Knowledge of international gender-equality texts and conventions
  • Professional English fluency with excellent drafting ability
  • Proven ability to analyse gender-equality issues and design responsive strategies
