Overview

The intern supports UNFPA Lebanon’s gender-based violence programme by tracking workplans and indicators, coordinating partner meetings and events, maintaining programme knowledge, researching protection issues, and preparing reports, donor materials and advocacy products that strengthen prevention and response work.

Responsibilities

  • Track partner workplans, indicators, progress and planned activities
  • Coordinate meetings, agendas, minutes and action-point follow-up
  • Maintain monitoring tools, databases and programme files
  • Organize training, workshops, consultations and programme events
  • Research gender equality, violence prevention and humanitarian protection
  • Document lessons, success stories and implementation practices
  • Prepare donor reports, concept notes, briefings and advocacy materials

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a postgraduate programme, recent graduation from such a programme with internship start within one year, or enrollment in a postgraduate professional traineeship
  • Academic background in public health, social sciences, gender studies, development studies or a relevant field
  • Fluency in English
  • Interest in development and ability to work across cultures
