Overview

The specialist leads planning, monitoring, evaluation and results reporting for the GPE-funded STEP for Girls and Learning programme, supporting education authorities and UNICEF teams with field implementation, evidence use, accountability and capacity building to improve equitable learning outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate implementation of the STEP for Girls and Learning programme
  • Manage programme budgeting, monitoring and results reporting
  • Provide field support on equity-focused and results-based programming
  • Strengthen monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning systems
  • Build planning and evaluation capacity among education partners
  • Coordinate with the Ministry of Education, regional bureaus and target districts
  • Develop partnerships, advocacy and knowledge-management approaches

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in education, social sciences, curriculum and instruction, teacher education or a related technical field
  • At least five years of professional monitoring and evaluation experience at national or regional level in education or social development
  • Experience delivering results in challenging education contexts
  • Proficient or fluent English
  • Ethiopian nationality
