Technical and Vocational Education and Training Consultant

Provides global technical assistance on TVET for UNICEF, advancing education financing, policy reform, systems strengthening and scalable programmes while supporting monitoring, evaluation, research and learning with education teams, governments and development partners.

Department: Education Practice, Global Programme Division

• Advise UNICEF on financing, systems strengthening and policy reform for technical and vocational education
• Support scale-up of transformative TVET programmes across the global education portfolio
• Strengthen monitoring, evaluation, research and learning for skills and secondary education initiatives
• Guide digital-system development and education-technology solutions for TVET delivery
• Engage UNICEF teams, governments, development partners and private-sector actors on skills ecosystems
• Support school-to-work transition approaches and labour-market alignment in TVET reform

• Master’s degree in technical and vocational education, education, development studies, monitoring and evaluation or a related field
• At least eight years of experience in education-systems strengthening focused on TVET, skills development and secondary education
• Extensive knowledge of TVET, education, programme management, digital systems or education-technology solutions
• Experience working with governments, development partners and private-sector actors on skills ecosystems, school-to-work transitions or TVET reform
• Proficiency in English
