Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the global major-donor strategy and action plan
  • Manage and grow major-donor relationships in Switzerland and priority countries
  • Plan targeted donor engagement and monitor relationship opportunities
  • Develop tailored fundraising tools and products for multi-year support
  • Prepare concept notes, proposals and fundraising-event content
  • Research and qualify prospective donors using databases and external sources
  • Identify fundraising trends, risks and opportunities for assigned markets
  • Develop engagement and funding models aligned with humanitarian priorities

Role Requirements

  • University degree in marketing, business administration, fundraising, communication, international affairs or social sciences, or relevant equivalent professional experience
  • Five to eight years of professional experience in business development, major-donor fundraising or a related discipline
  • Native German or Swiss-German and fluent English
  • Computer proficiency
  • Understanding of fundraising principles for high-net-worth charitable donors
  • Ability to manage a substantial account-management portfolio
