Leads private-sector partnership and resource-mobilization work across Sub-Saharan Africa for IOM. The specialist develops regional strategies, builds high-value corporate and philanthropic relationships, advances blended-finance models, strengthens country-office capacity and measures portfolio impact.

Responsibilities

  • Design regional and cross-border partnership strategies for private-sector engagement
  • Build and steward partnerships with companies, foundations, development banks and philanthropists
  • Develop blended-finance and multi-stakeholder models supporting migration outcomes
  • Lead regional private-sector fundraising and resource-mobilization efforts
  • Analyse philanthropy, impact-investment and diaspora-finance trends
  • Train and advise country offices on partnership structuring, proposals and due diligence
  • Maintain peer-learning networks and document scalable partnership models
  • Monitor partnership indicators and produce portfolio reviews, impact briefs and progress reports

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, social sciences, international relations, management, development studies or a related field with five years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with seven years
  • At least five years of successful private-sector partnership building and financial resource mobilization from corporations and philanthropic foundations
  • Strong experience fundraising and building private-sector partnerships in Africa
  • Experience with corporate social responsibility, environmental social and governance frameworks and corporate-recognition programmes
  • Experience developing long-term partner relationships across geographies and sectors
  • Fluency in English and French
