Summary of Responsibilities

  • Shape and update private-sector resource-mobilisation strategy
  • Lead portfolio workplans, targets and contribution tracking
  • Cultivate high-net-worth individuals, foundations and companies
  • Develop catalytic investment fundraising initiatives
  • Structure and negotiate large-scale partnerships
  • Manage partner relationships, reporting and communications
  • Implement partner risk assessment and mitigation
  • Represent the Global Fund at senior meetings and events
  • Lead staff and external consultants

Role Requirements

  • Advanced degree in business administration, economics, international relations or a similar field
  • At least 10 years of experience in private-sector partnerships, development cooperation or resource mobilisation
  • Deep experience with philanthropy, foundations and corporate resource mobilisation
  • Experience developing prospect and partner engagement strategies
  • Experience designing grants or technical projects and deploying funds in lower- and middle-income countries
  • Demonstrated capacity to raise tens or hundreds of millions of dollars from private-sector sources
  • Excellent knowledge of English

Desired Criteria

  • Global-health or global-health project-design experience, preferably involving HIV, tuberculosis, malaria or health systems
  • Exposure to developing countries
  • Good working knowledge of French
  • Knowledge of another language
