Operations Technician

Coordinates daily fleet and transport support for health operations, allocating vehicles and drivers, maintaining movement and safety records, monitoring maintenance and fuel, verifying invoices and producing performance data to keep field movements safe, reliable and cost-efficient.

Department: WHO Representative Office, Sudan

• Coordinate transport requests, daily vehicle allocation and trip schedules
• Manage vehicle pools, driver rosters, field movements and replacement arrangements
• Inspect vehicles and monitor documentation, insurance and safety equipment
• Schedule maintenance, follow repairs and verify workshop records
• Maintain fleet, fuel, driver, rental and incident data in operational systems
• Produce fleet performance reports and KPI summaries
• Reconcile fuel, maintenance and rental invoices against approved records
• Support driver briefings, road-safety compliance, convoy preparation and incident follow-up

• Completion of secondary education or equivalent
• At least three years of experience in fleet, transport, logistics, administration, data management or operations support
• Expert knowledge of English and Arabic
• Local recruitment eligibility within the commuting area of the duty station
• Confirmation of vaccinations required by WHO before assignment, subject to certified medical exception

• Annual net base salary starts at USD 15,945 subject to mandatory deductions
• Fixed-term appointment duration is 12 months
• The role may support emergencies, convoys and field deployments
• The selected candidate receives 30 days of annual leave
