Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement WHO global security strategy
  • Analyse threats and establish risk-mitigation measures
  • Direct security policy, training and high-risk operations
  • Coordinate access and security with UN and host-country partners
  • Manage security personnel, budgets and emergency support
  • Oversee assessments, investigations and senior-level briefings

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in security management, law, disaster management or a related field
  • At least fifteen years of progressively responsible security or disaster-risk experience
  • Experience managing complex programmes across several geographic regions
  • Experience in crisis or post-conflict countries
  • Expert English and intermediate French
  • Availability to provide emergency security advice around the clock
