Join WHO’s talent pipeline for country representatives who lead national offices and serve as senior health diplomats. Roster members advise governments, coordinate technical cooperation, build partnerships, mobilize resources and ensure accountable management, strategic delivery and workforce leadership.

Department: Country Office Leadership

• Represent WHO and lead national health diplomacy and advocacy
• Advise governments on health policy and whole-of-government action
• Coordinate country-led technical cooperation and WHO expertise
• Convene partners and build consensus during health emergencies
• Mobilize resources and strengthen sustainable health financing
• Lead country-office planning, compliance, risk and resource management
• Develop a high-performing, ethical and inclusive workforce
• Integrate health priorities into UN country planning

• Advanced university degree in public health, health sciences, health systems or a medical field
• At least ten years of progressive international health experience
• At least two years of country-level work with governments and partners
• Expert English
• Availability for at least five years before mandatory retirement
