Responsibilities
- Represent WHO and lead national health diplomacy and advocacy
- Advise governments on health policy and whole-of-government action
- Coordinate country-led technical cooperation and WHO expertise
- Convene partners and build consensus during health emergencies
- Mobilize resources and strengthen sustainable health financing
- Lead country-office planning, compliance, risk and resource management
- Develop a high-performing, ethical and inclusive workforce
- Integrate health priorities into UN country planning
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in public health, health sciences, health systems or a medical field
- At least ten years of progressive international health experience
- At least two years of country-level work with governments and partners
- Expert English
- Availability for at least five years before mandatory retirement
