Overview

UNESCO seeks a senior consultant to advance its Open Solutions portfolio through open-data benchmarks and toolkits, Diamond Open Access guidance, source-code preservation work, stakeholder engagement, policy analysis, partnership development and concise programme reporting.

EUR 6,500 / monthly

Responsibilities

  • Refine the benchmark framework for national and institutional open-data strategies
  • Finalise toolkits and implementation guidance for open-data platforms
  • Develop methodologies and guidance for Diamond Open Access in Asia and Africa
  • Advance source-code preservation work under the Memory of the World Programme
  • Prepare Open Solutions policy papers, presentations and programme reports
  • Map European funding and partnership opportunities and engage relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate annual and monthly reporting for UNESCO–KISTI activities

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in natural sciences, public policy or a related field
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in scientific research, international cooperation for sciences or related fields
  • Excellent English and satisfactory French
