Overview
UNESCO seeks a senior consultant to advance its Open Solutions portfolio through open-data benchmarks and toolkits, Diamond Open Access guidance, source-code preservation work, stakeholder engagement, policy analysis, partnership development and concise programme reporting.

Responsibilities
- Refine the benchmark framework for national and institutional open-data strategies
- Finalise toolkits and implementation guidance for open-data platforms
- Develop methodologies and guidance for Diamond Open Access in Asia and Africa
- Advance source-code preservation work under the Memory of the World Programme
- Prepare Open Solutions policy papers, presentations and programme reports
- Map European funding and partnership opportunities and engage relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate annual and monthly reporting for UNESCO–KISTI activities
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in natural sciences, public policy or a related field
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in scientific research, international cooperation for sciences or related fields
- Excellent English and satisfactory French
