Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide clinical nursing care, diagnostic screening, minor outpatient treatment and immunisation
- Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up with the UN physician, outside specialists and Danish health services
- Prepare personnel for mission travel through vaccination, malaria-prophylaxis guidance and travel-kit instruction
- Deliver health education, first-aid training and occupational-health assessments
- Maintain confidential patient records, consultation data and electronic medical registers
- Coordinate and supervise UN Clinic personnel and schedule consultations for eligible patients
- Manage clinic equipment, medical supplies, inventory, procurement needs and hazardous-waste disposal
- Process patient invoices and reconcile daily clinic accounts
Role Requirements
- Registered Professional Nurse with an accredited first-level nursing degree or equivalent four-year nursing diploma
- Diploma recognised by the Danish health authorities for professional practice
- At least five years of continuous clinical nursing experience
- Proficiency in English and Danish
- Computer and office software capability, including word-processing, spreadsheet and database packages
Desired Criteria
- ECG, CPR, Basic Life Support or ACLS certification
- Knowledge of relevant UN administrative policies and procedures
- Understanding of the Danish medical system
- Experience in travel medicine
