Regional Nurse

The nurse delivers coordinated occupational and travel-health support for WFP personnel and dependants across Latin America and the Caribbean, managing clinical information, preventive services, emergency readiness, medical supplies and regional health reporting.

Department: Regional Medical Office

• Review and prioritise medical information for confidential digital staff-health records
• Operate physical and remote travel-clinic consultations and provide destination-specific health advice
• Coordinate vaccination guidance, preventive services and regional health-awareness programmes
• Manage medical supplies, protective equipment and emergency-response protocols across the region
• Support patient referrals and respond to medical-administrative enquiries
• Consolidate morbidity, mortality and evacuation statistics for regional reporting

• Active and valid professional nursing licence
• At least 5 years of clinical nursing experience
• Experience in travel medicine and tropical or infectious diseases
• Experience delivering patient education or first-aid training
• Spanish and English language proficiency
• Panamanian citizenship or permanent residence

• Twelve-month fixed-term General Service appointment
• Successful candidate will be placed on a roster for two years
