Payroll Technical Specialist

Develops and supports UNDP global payroll technology by configuring Oracle Cloud, delivering ERP reports and integrating payroll data with Power BI. The specialist automates high-volume data loads, resolves production issues and builds secure reporting pipelines that improve payroll accuracy, insight and turnaround times.

Department: Global Payroll Services Technical Team

• Define requirements and configure payroll application enhancements
• Design, develop, test and deploy ERP changes and reports
• Build Power BI datasets and dashboards from Oracle Cloud payroll data
• Automate secure data pipelines and high-volume payroll data loads
• Maintain data-loading programs, scripts and interfaces
• Resolve production incidents and identify long-term system improvements
• Maintain reporting architecture as business analytics needs evolve
• Share payroll lessons, technical knowledge and best practices

• Advanced university degree in information technology, data science or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree with two additional years of experience
• At least five years of relevant IT experience with a master’s degree, or seven years with a bachelor’s degree, supporting HCM or payroll applications and business intelligence
• Power BI, DAX, Power Query and advanced data-modelling experience
• Experience integrating Power BI with Oracle Cloud ERP
• ERP payroll configuration and report-development experience
• Strong SQL experience
• At least two years of ERP techno-functional experience in a large service-oriented organization
• English fluency
