National Individual Consultant for Demand Analysis of GBV Services for Men and Boys and Mapping of SGBV Service Providers

The consultant will assess demand for gender-based violence services among men and boys and map service providers across targeted Mozambican districts, producing practical evidence, directories and recommendations to strengthen inclusive referral pathways and coordinated survivor support.

• Review literature, national statistics and service reports concerning GBV services for men and boys
• Conduct stakeholder interviews and focus groups with providers, government, civil society and communities
• Analyse demand patterns, service gaps, barriers and perceptions affecting male survivors
• Assess benefits, risks and operational implications of expanding targeted services
• Map civil-society and institutional providers across target districts
• Document service coverage, referral capacity and links with clinics and multisectoral entry points
• Develop practical local service directories for partners and community actors
• Validate findings and deliver evidence-based recommendations for programming and resource allocation

• Bachelor’s degree and at least seven years of professional experience
• Proven experience in GBV research, service mapping or programme evaluation
• Demonstrated experience in GBV programming, service mapping or demand analysis
• Strong understanding of survivor-centred and ethical research approaches
• Experience working in Mozambique
• Capacity to conduct fieldwork across multiple districts

• Consultancy comprises 40 working days over 2.5 months
• Domestic travel is required across target districts in Gaza, Manica and Maputo provinces
• UNFPA will arrange provincial travel and provide travel and daily subsistence support
• The consultant must provide their own computer, mobile phone and IT equipment
• Progress is monitored through bi-weekly technical check-ins
