Gender Officer

Supports gender equality across ADB operations by integrating gender outcomes into loans, grants and technical assistance, advising implementing partners, monitoring gender action plans, reviewing project documents, delivering training and producing country updates, case studies and advocacy materials.

Department: Gender Equality Division

• Integrate gender-equality outcomes and designs into ADB projects and programmes
• Support loans, grants, technical assistance and knowledge products on gender equality
• Advise executing agencies, implementing agencies and private clients on gender action plans
• Join project review missions and monitor implementation of gender commitments
• Review gender assessments, action plans, completion reports and survey tools
• Deliver gender-mainstreaming training to government, private-sector and civil-society partners
• Produce gender knowledge products, country updates and advocacy materials

• Bachelor’s degree in international development, social sciences, gender studies or a relevant field
• At least eight years of relevant experience in programme monitoring, design, implementation and reporting
• Experience in monitoring and evaluation
• Experience delivering gender-equality training to government, private-sector and civil-society stakeholders
• Written and verbal proficiency in English
• At least two years of relevant experience outside ADB within the past five years
• Philippine nationality or residence

• Locally recruited fixed-term appointment for up to three years with renewal options
• Open only to nationals and residents of the Philippines
• The role may undertake short-term assignments in other ADB offices
