Responsibilities

  • Model subnational prevalence and disparities across physical, sexual and emotional gender-based violence
  • Analyse help-seeking behaviour, service uptake and barriers to health, legal and psychosocial support
  • Examine associations between gender-based violence, maternal health, sexual behaviour and HIV risk
  • Apply survey weights, clustering and stratification across all ZDHS analyses
  • Conduct multivariable and multilevel modelling using methods appropriate to the survey data
  • Produce spatial maps, graphs and matrices identifying high-risk populations and geographic inequalities
  • Translate findings into a publication-quality thematic report and concise policy outputs
  • Strengthen national analytical capacity through collaboration, coaching and documented statistical syntax

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Demography, Social Statistics, Public Health, Sociology, Epidemiology or a related field
  • At least seven years of documented experience in complex secondary-data analysis and statistical modelling focused on DHS or MICS data
  • Expert programming ability in Stata or R, including documented syntax for complex survey design
  • Experience with data visualisation and spatial mapping using GIS
  • Professional expertise in gender-based violence, violence against women and girls, gender equality, protection or sexual and reproductive health and rights
  • Excellent communication and analytical writing skills in English
