National Consultant – Developing SOPs on Heatwaves and Sandstorms and Revising the Basics of Life Skills Teacher Manual

Develops national standard operating procedures for heatwaves and sand and dust storms in Turkmenistan’s schools and health facilities, prepares community messages, updates the Basics of Life Skills teacher manual and builds educator capacity for climate and health resilience.

• Develop heatwave standard operating procedures for schools and primary health-care facilities
• Develop sand and dust storm procedures for education and health facilities
• Prepare community messages on heatwaves and sand and dust storms
• Align technical guidance with Turkmenistan’s national heat-health action plan
• Revise modules in the Basics of Life Skills teacher manual
• Build educator capacity to use the revised life-skills guidance

• University degree in Medicine, Public Health, Environmental Health or a related field
• At least five years of relevant experience in public or environmental health
• Experience developing standards, guidance, standard operating procedures, community messages, materials and training
• Fluency in written and spoken Turkmen
