Job Description

Conducts field monitoring for WFP food, cash-based transfer, nutrition, school feeding and livelihood assistance for Sahrawi refugees in Tindouf. The role collects and analyses monitoring data, checks distributions and inventories, coordinates plans with partners and UNHCR, documents community feedback and protection concerns, and prepares evidence for programme decisions and M&E reporting

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor food, cash-based transfer, nutrition, school feeding and livelihood activities for Sahrawi refugees
  • Review food dispatches and distributions and verify quantities and quality against WFP standards
  • Collect market-price data and enter monitoring and distribution data in MODA and COMET
  • Conduct monthly physical food inventories with programme, logistics, partner and local-stakeholder counterparts
  • Document refugee and partner feedback, gender and protection concerns, and operational practices after field visits
  • Prepare monitoring plans, reports and calendars with the Sahraoui Red Crescent and UNHCR

Role Requirements

  • Completion of secondary school education
  • At least two years of experience monitoring project implementation activities
  • Fluency in oral and written English or French, and fluent oral Arabic

Desired Criteria

  • A post-secondary certificate in food security and nutrition, humanitarian, statistics, geography or a related field is desirable
  • Previous experience in monitoring and evaluation in a humanitarian context is desirable
  • Knowledge of WFP M&E policies is a plus
