Responsibilities
- Lead complex critical-incident, conduct and sexual-exploitation-and-abuse legal matters
- Advise on international, national, criminal, administrative and employment-law questions
- Conduct legal research and draft opinions, briefs, motions, reports, indictments and instruments
- Prepare and lead litigation, investigations, prosecutions and tribunal proceedings
- Negotiate settlements, claims and legal terms and advise on staff rules and administrative decisions
- Represent the Organization before tribunals, conferences, committees and expert bodies
- Coordinate legal teams and mentor or supervise junior officers on complex cases
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in law, or a first-level law degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
- At least seven years of experience in administrative or employment law
- At least two years of national or international litigation experience, including appearing before a court, tribunal or equivalent body and leading witness evidence
- English at UN Level II
