Investigator (S)

The OSCE seeks a seconded Investigator in Vienna to assess misconduct allegations, plan and conduct administrative investigations, preserve and analyse evidence, interview witnesses, write investigation reports, follow up recommendations, and strengthen fraud-risk assessment and internal controls.

Department: Office of Internal Oversight

• Assess incoming allegations and recommend whether to open investigations
• Plan and conduct administrative investigations into fraud, misconduct and regulatory violations
• Interview witnesses, analyse evidence and maintain chain of custody and due process
• Draft closure and investigation reports with corrective recommendations
• Follow up implementation and adequacy of investigation recommendations
• Develop fraud-risk assessments, prevention strategies and control improvements

• First-level university degree in law, criminal justice, business administration, accounting or another relevant discipline
• At least seven years of relevant experience, or five years with a relevant second-level degree
• Experience investigating complex fraud, corruption or misconduct cases
• Professional fluency in English
• Nationality of an OSCE participating State and nomination by that State
