International Drug Control Consultants

Deliver specialist teaching for UNODC’s Higher Diploma in Drug Control, translating expertise in treatment, toxicology, public health, research or policy into lectures and assessments. The consultants prepare course materials, teach scheduled sessions, grade participant work and improve the curriculum.

Department: Office for the Gulf Cooperation Council Region

• Prepare and deliver specialised lectures for the Higher Diploma in Drug Control
• Develop presentations and supporting resources aligned with the diploma curriculum
• Provide subject-matter input based on international drug-control and crime-prevention standards
• Design examination questions and assessment tools for assigned sessions
• Review examinations and assignments and provide structured grades and feedback
• Improve course content and delivery using teaching experience and participant feedback

• Advanced university degree in toxicology, pharmaceutical sciences, medicine, criminology, behavioural sciences, public health, statistics, data analysis, economics, public policy or another relevant field, or a first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
• At least seven years of relevant experience in drug treatment, toxicology, addiction treatment, rehabilitation, social reintegration, public health, research, statistical analysis or a related field
• Experience delivering academic or professional training, including curriculum development and lectures
• Fluency in English and Arabic

• Three consultants will be selected
• The assignment is home-based with possible official travel
• Services are scheduled from 28 August to 7 September 2026
