Responsibilities

  • Prepare a work plan with objectives, methodology, timeline, key documents and evaluation criteria
  • Identify and systematise obstacles in investigations of serious human rights violations by specialised prosecution offices
  • Develop training proposals for fiscal and judicial schools using national and international legal frameworks
  • Design and support at least six training modules on international and national law for prosecutors, investigators and judges
  • Conduct monthly territorial missions and consultations with justice institutions, civil society and victims
  • Analyse legal and institutional frameworks that obstruct investigation and prosecution and propose reforms
  • Prepare at least ten case studies on victims experience with the justice system
  • Draft a systematisation document on investigation and prosecution challenges and capacity needs

Requirements

  • University degree at licenciatura level in law, social sciences, political sciences or related areas, preferably with a human rights focus
  • At least five years of experience in human rights, gender or access to justice
  • Experience and knowledge of international human rights law, particularly in justice-related areas
  • Experience providing professional advisory services on human rights and access to justice
  • Experience conducting research and analytical reports on the human rights situation
  • Experience working with international and regional human rights instruments and mechanisms
  • Intermediate English is required
