Provides technical assistance to Timor-Leste’s government and civil-society partners to strengthen child online protection, prevent violence against children and build climate-resilient community protection systems. The consultant mentors institutions, monitors delivery and supports pilots across municipalities.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice on child online protection and violence-prevention programming
- Support government and civil-society partners to strengthen institutional capacity
- Mentor implementing partners and facilitate technical workshops
- Support climate-resilient community child-protection pilots across municipalities
- Monitor implementation, analyse evidence and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare technical products, progress updates and final documentation
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in child protection, social sciences, international development or a related field
- At least five years of relevant professional experience
- Demonstrated experience in child online protection
- Experience addressing violence against children and climate-related protection risks
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Experience working with government, civil-society or United Nations partners
- Experience with child-protection information-management systems
