International Consultant – Child Online Protection and Violence Against Children

Provides technical assistance to Timor-Leste’s government and civil-society partners to strengthen child online protection, prevent violence against children and build climate-resilient community protection systems. The consultant mentors institutions, monitors delivery and supports pilots across municipalities.

• Provide technical advice on child online protection and violence-prevention programming
• Support government and civil-society partners to strengthen institutional capacity
• Mentor implementing partners and facilitate technical workshops
• Support climate-resilient community child-protection pilots across municipalities
• Monitor implementation, analyse evidence and recommend corrective actions
• Prepare technical products, progress updates and final documentation

• Advanced university degree in child protection, social sciences, international development or a related field
• At least five years of relevant professional experience
• Demonstrated experience in child online protection
• Experience addressing violence against children and climate-related protection risks
• Fluency in English

• Experience working with government, civil-society or United Nations partners
• Experience with child-protection information-management systems
