Individual Consultant to Conduct an Evidence Review and Advocacy Framework on Child Marriage among Roma Communities

Produces an evidence base and advocacy framework on child marriage among Roma communities in Europe and Central Asia. The consultancy conducts a systematic scoping review, maps interventions and gaps, develops a regional theory of change and translates findings into policy products.

• Develop an inception plan and protocol for a systematic scoping review
• Search and screen literature on child marriage among Roma communities
• Extract, appraise and map quantitative and qualitative evidence
• Synthesize findings on prevalence, drivers, consequences, interventions and data gaps
• Draft a regional framework and theory of change for stakeholder validation
• Prepare an evidence-based policy paper and concise advocacy summary

• Advanced university degree in public health, sociology, anthropology, international development, gender studies, social sciences or a related field
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in systematic or scoping reviews, evidence synthesis or mixed-methods research
• Experience producing research reports, evidence syntheses and policy or advocacy documents
• Experience with UN agencies, international organisations, governments or research institutions
• Familiarity with child marriage, gender equality, social exclusion and human rights
• Fluency in written and spoken English

• Remote consultancy for 4.5 months with Amman as the official duty station
