Overview
WTO internship programme for post-graduate students and recent graduates with an advanced degree seeking practical experience in the multilateral trading system. Responsibilities
- Carry out duties assigned by supervisor within the relevant WTO Division
- Work full-time for the duration of the internship, bound by the same duties as regular staff
- Participate in an end-of-internship evaluation process
Requirements
- National of a WTO member state or a country/customs territory engaged in accession negotiations
- Completed undergraduate studies in a relevant discipline
- Currently enrolled in, or completed, a master's degree (or higher postgraduate/doctoral study)
- At least 21 years old at time of internship (no older than 30 for China-related programmes)

- Paid interns receive a daily allowance of CHF 60 (CHF 90 for China's LDCs, Accessions and General Internship Programme)
- Travel expenses to/from Geneva not covered by WTO except under the China programme and Doctoral Studies programme
- Interns are not considered officials or staff members but are bound by the same duties and obligations
