Summary of Responsibilities
- Work full time on duties assigned by the supervising WTO division
- Support division work connected to the multilateral trading system
- Complete an end-of-internship evaluation with the supervisor
Role Requirements
- Nationality of a WTO member or a country or customs territory engaged in accession negotiations
- Completed undergraduate studies in a relevant discipline
- Current enrolment in a master degree after at least one completed year, enrolment in a higher postgraduate programme after completing a master degree, or completion of a postgraduate degree within the previous two years
- At least twenty-one years of age at the start of the internship
- No older than thirty for the China WTO Accessions Internship Programme and China General Internship Programme

Additional Information
- Candidates are selected from a roster maintained for up to one year
- Internships last three to six months with no extension
- Daily allowance: CHF 60, or CHF 90 for the China LDCs, Accessions and General Internship Programme
- Travel to Geneva and insurance are generally the responsibility of the intern
- Internships do not create a right to another WTO vacancy
- Either party may terminate the internship with one week notice
