Job Description
Supports OCHA’s Approaches and Practices Section and the Global Cluster Coordination Group in strengthening humanitarian policy and coordination practice. The internship contributes research, analysis, drafting and information management for response planning and coordination; helps organise hybrid meetings and workshops; maintains collaboration resources; and supports policy, data-platform and follow-up work for humanitarian partners.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Assist with studies on humanitarian response, coordination, localisation, cash and accountability to affected people
- Research, analyse and present information from multiple sources
- Draft study sections, background papers, presentations, policy notes and infographics
- Maintain reference and resource materials on humanitarian policy and coordination
- Support meetings, workshops, note taking and section planning
- Update data platforms and follow humanitarian political, policy and gender issues
- Prepare and organise Global Cluster Coordination Group hybrid meetings
- Draft agendas and background materials, track follow-up actions and maintain the online collaboration platform
Role Requirements
- Enrolment in or completion of a graduate programme, or enrolment in or completion of the final academic year of a first university degree programme
- Field of study closely related to political science, social science, humanitarian affairs, international studies, public administration, economics, engineering, earth sciences or a related field
- Fluency in oral and written English

- Practical academic or professional experience requiring attention to detail

- Internship runs for a maximum of six months from September 2026 to February 2027
- May be full-time or part-time and conducted in person, remotely or in a hybrid format
- Interns are not financially remunerated and are responsible for travel, visa, accommodation and living costs
